Where does child support money go when the mother has public aid?

i am in the process of obtaining visitation for my daughter, her mother receives section 8, food stamps, medicaide, and some other stuff i never heard of! i moved out of town last year and at first, i was allowed to pick her up whenever, and her mother would also drive to indiana to bring my daughter to me. but that changed when she finally realized it was really over, and i had moved on. so i would usually send my daughter cash by money gram, but my daughters mother changed her number and i think she moved. so i havnt talked to my daughter in 2 months, and havnt seen her in several! i want to pay child support and get visitations, and i was curious as to if my daughters mother would get the money, or would the state receive the support money? i guess either way it goes its supporting my daughter, but i dont know if i would rather my daughter see the money directly, or go to the state. her mother works everyday, and also receives support from another one of her childs father. although i dont think she reports that as income.
