Does he want me back?

Me and my ex broke when i was 5 months pregnant, because i didnt except his life style. But he went back to ex. our son is now 3 months old. me and my son father has had ALOT of ups and down and i even told him i moved on because i gave my childs father an opportunity to come home and he didnt take it. So today when i called him he told me he missed me and i have his heart, but all of a sudden he just kept sayn over and over " you know your mind can be telling you one thing but you always follow your heart, we might be together again. but you prolly wont take me back" he just kept repeating it but in so many different ways...what do you think?
