Should baby get mothers last name?

I am hoping to seek help also. Well I'm a black teen mother (17) and my babyfather is white (19) We weren't together when the baby was conceived. He is my ex now but we been off and on since 2009..we got back together to see if it'll work out but it didn't. Soo, he cried and begged. I couldn't deal with him cry baby and immature ways. So now I'm 17 weeks pregnant and trying not to stress about the last name thing. I said it should be mine because we aren't together, married, in love, dating, etc. And he said it should be his because its a great feeling to have his last name. Well, when I told him my choice, he got upset and acted immature. He will still be in the childs life and all. But the baby will be staying with me until its time for him to pick up his child. I believe baby should get his last name only if we were married and was deeply in love. But then he keeps saying "your not no better then I am. Why can't I have a say in this" So then I told him, he does have a say! He said if its a boy it'll have his cousin that passed away as the middle in honor of him. That should mean a lot too right? But him and his family thinks its selfish of me to give it my last name. My last name is Osborne and his is Baxter..and here are the names for girl and boy.. Aubria Neaveh Osborne/Baxter and Zechariah Casey (his cousin name that passed) Osborne/Baxter. Am I wrong for giving my child my name? What do you all think about this?
