Could i hook up my mono amp to my solo x?

I just bought a 12' Kicker Solo X 2 ohm and have a SPL 5500 monoblock amp. It says the amp is rated at 3200 rms if wired at 1 ohm and the solo x can handle 2500 rms. Would i be overpowering my sub? Or would it be fine since SPL may overrate their equipment? And is there any way to wire my single solo x at 2 ohm?
